The Israelis began attacking Syria in 2013 but to target Iranian presence in the country, So, Syria has long been experiencing the Israeli obsession of going preemptively to war but with the difference that the Assad regime never responded to the Israeli attacks. Even Iran never did. In early December 2024, residents of Quneitra province were witnessing Israeli tanks entering Syrian soil while Israeli warplanes were flattening the harbor of Latakia. It was the beginning of exploiting the fall of the Assad regime. During the whole month of December that year, the Israelis were bombing bases of the Syrian army, particular storage places of munition and weapons and airdefense systems. They were making Syria defenseless for reasons that we're linking to the idea of a "Greater Israel." That is still our view because the Israelis themselves destroyed their claim "for security reasons.".In other words: Syria's new leadership has never been a threat because it is unable to respond to the Israeli attacks on its soil.
