An Israeli air attack on a house in the Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City has killed five people, including three children, a source at Gaza’s Al-Shifa Hospital has reported.

MSF calls for immediate release of detained Palestinian doctors

Doctors Without Borders, known by its French initials MSF, has called for the immediate release of all Palestinian healthcare workers arbitrarily detained by Israeli forces, saying it is “outraged by the treatment of healthcare workers, most of whom are being detained in dire conditions, without justification or cause”.

The humanitarian medical organization warned that world leaders have failed to condemn Israel’s conduct, declaring that “silence has become complicity”.

The group highlighted the cases of Dr Hussam Abu Safia, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, who was placed in solitary confinement after being detained for a year and a half, and MSF orthopedic surgeon Dr Mohammed Obeid, who was arrested on October 26, 2024, at the same hospital and held for more than 600 days without family contact.

The group condemned Abu Safia’s placement into isolation and reported torture as part of an “appalling pattern of the Israeli authorities detaining and targeting medical staff across Palestine”, while calling for Obeid’s “immediate and unconditional release”.

MSF emphasized that these cases were not isolated, citing data from Healthcare Workers Watch that shows that 95 Palestinian healthcare workers remain detained by Israeli authorities since October 2023.

Al-Hayya’s election shows ‘Islamic resistance today is stronger than ever’: Iranian commander

The commander of the IRGC’s Quds Force has congratulated Khalil al-Hayya on his election as the new leader of Iran-backed Hamas’s political bureau.

In a message quoted by Iran’s official IRNA news agency, Brigadier General Esmail Qaani said Israel has failed to break the Palestinian Islamic resistance, adding that it is “stronger than ever”.

“By choosing a personality who is a symbol of resistance and martyrdom, they have once again proven their firm insistence on continuing the path of Islamic resistance,” he said on al-Hayya’s appointment.

“The Zionist regime [Israel] is forced to accept that despite all the crimes it has committed, it has not only failed to stop the resistance, but the Islamic Resistance today is stronger than ever and will continue its honorable and dignified path,” he said.

Israeli military says Hamas commander killed in Gaza

A military update says Adham Ibrahim Shaban Nasman, the head of the operations department of Hamas’s Gaza City Brigade, was killed in a joint operation with the Shin Bet intelligence agency on Saturday.

The military claimed that Nasman raided Israel during the October 7, 2023 attack and took many captives.

He had served as the commander of Hamas’s Nukhba special forces, the update said.

Israeli army says strike killed Hamas commander in southern Gaza

Osama Kamal Shadah Abu Tim, who was a Hamas cell commander and participated in the October 2023 attack, was killed in an attack on Sunday, according to a military update.

Abu Tim took part in the kidnapping of Israelis in the Nir Oz settlement during the attack, it alleged. He acted to “promote plots against Israeli forces and Israelis”.

Happened in the occupied West Bank

Israeli forces continue operations in the occupied West Bank, arresting at least five people from the village of Madma, south of Nablus, at dawn, the Palestinian news agency Wafa reports.

• Israeli forces stormed the town of Kafr al-Labad, east of Tulkarem, carrying out raids and searches of several residents’ homes.
• Two people were arrested in the Jenin governorate at dawn.
• Soldiers demolished a house in the town of Sa’ir, east of Hebron.
• Many Palestinians suffered from suffocation at the entrance to ar-Rama, north of occupied Jerusalem, after troops deployed tear gas.
• Colonists stormed Khirbet Samra in the northern Jordan Valley.
• Colonists released their sheep into the homes of residents in the Bedouin community of Mahdoush, occupied East Jerusalem.

'Active in BDS': Document reveal how Israel scrutinized global NGOs

An discovered official document shows how Israel collected information on charities in 2013, singling out some of the world’s most well-known humanitarian organizations for their perceived positions on the Israel-Palestine conflict.

The file, a spreadsheet that was published on a Israeli ministry website, listed more than 150 charities and basic details, such as the director’s name at the time, the organization's address, telephone number, email and area of work.

But in a “comments” column, 15 were remarked upon with statements such as “critic of Israel” in the case of France-based Premiere Urgence Internationale, “involved in anti-Israel campaigning” for the Geneva-based Defence for Children International and “highly involved in BDS” – meaning the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions campaign – to describe Mundubat in Spain.

Deadly Israeli attack on Gaza City left apartment building in flames

A devastating night for many of the families.

Among the dead is the al-Masri family. According to civil defense officials, relatives were wiped out of the civil registry in a single drone attack last night, including a mother, three daughters and a young son, who were all killed while they were inside the apartment.

The drone hit the building while they were inside late at night. They were sleeping, and by the time the civil defense members arrived in the area, the explosion rocked the area, forcing many of the people inside the building to leave, scrambling for shelter in nearby areas.

Many of the nearby displacement camps reported shrapnel falling on their tents, piercing through the plastic.

By the time the civil defense crew members arrived at the apartment that was engulfed in fire, bodies had already been burned beyond recognition, which made it very difficult for members to identify the bodies until the early hours of this morning.

This is one of several attacks across the Gaza Strip.

Israeli strike kills family of six as Gaza City home is reduced to rubble

The previously reported Israeli air strike hit a residential building in Gaza City overnight, killing a father, his wife and their four children, including youngsters aged five, 8 and 10.

Neighbors say multiple drone strikes brought down the roof and set the home ablaze while the family slept, with no prior warning given.

The Israeli military says it targeted a Hamas fighter and is reviewing the outcome. The attack adds to more than 1,100 Palestinian deaths since October, despite a ceasefire agreed with Hamas last year.

Palestinian death toll in Gaza rises to 73,293 from Israeli attacks

Israel has killed at least 73,293 Palestinians since Israel’s genocidal war began on October 7, 2023, Gaza’s Health Ministry says.

Another 173,906 people have been wounded.

Nine more people were killed with one body recovered over the past 24 hours, it added.

At least 1,168 people were killed with 3,798 wounded in Israeli attacks since the US-brokered “ceasefire” was announced on October 11, 2025.

Hamas’s Meshaal extends congratulations to new leader al-Hayya

Senior Hamas official Khaled Meshaal has congratulated Khalil al-Hayya on being named as the head of Hamas’s political bureau.

“At the conclusion of the democratic consultative process for electing the head of the political bureau of the movement, I extend my sincere congratulations and blessings to my dear brother, Dr Khalil al-Hayya, on gaining the confidence of the movement’s General Shura Council and his election as head of its political bureau,” he said.

Meshaal expressed “complete respect for the election results”, adding that he will “stand from this moment behind the leadership of al-Hayya”.

Al-Hayya, a former deputy chairman of the Palestinian group and one of five members of its leadership council, won an internal ballot in a run-off against former political leader Meshaal, Hamas said in a statement on Monday.

Israeli colonist attack wounds 3 people in town east of Jenin

At least three people have been wounded in a colonist attack on the town of Raba, east of Jenin in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian news agency Wafa reports.

The head of the Raba village council, Ghassan Bazour, told Wafa that a group of colonists attacked the home of Yassin Hassan Silawi in the northeastern part of the town, severely beating him and two of his sons.

Bazour said the colonists came from an outpost in the Jabal al-Salami area and tried to steal sheep from his farm.

Bazour added that Raba has been subjected to continuous attacks by colonists.

At least 2 killed in Israeli attack on central Gaza

An Israeli air strike on a civilian vehicle has killed two people and wounded others in al-Zahra in central Gaza.

The bodies of those killed were taken to al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. Civil defense crews put out a fire that started in the targeted vehicle.

At least 1,168 Palestinians have been killed and 3,798 wounded since the “ceasefire” between Israel and Hamas was announced in October 2025.

UN rights office condemns intensifying Israeli attacks in Gaza

The UN Office of the High Commissioner has recorded at least 57 Palestinians killed by Israel between July 13 and 20, including six children.

“The Israeli military has intensified its attacks in Gaza in recent days, killing and injuring dozens of Palestinians,” spokesperson Thameen Al-Kheetan said.

“Nine months after the announcement of a ceasefire, still, nowhere is safe for Palestinians in Gaza,” he added, noting that the killing of civilians raises concerns of war crimes and other possibly atrocity crimes.

Among those killed during this time, “thirty-four were killed far away from the Israeli-imposed ‘yellow line’,” Kheetan said.

He added that the line is constantly being moved, “presenting a continuous threat to life as the Israeli military appears to routinely fire on Palestinians for mere presence in the vicinity of that line, in violation of international human rights law and international humanitarian law.”
