Death toll in Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza reaches 73,381

The Health Ministry in Gaza says two Palestinians have been killed and one person wounded in Israeli attacks across the Strip over the latest 24-hour reporting period.

According to the ministry, two other people died due to the injuries they suffered in previous attacks.

Since the “ceasefire” with Israel began on October 10, 1,254 people have been killed and 4,121 wounded.

The ministry said the cumulative toll since the start of Israel’s genocidal war on October 7, 2023, has reached 73,381 killed and 174,231 wounded.

Israeli gunfire and shelling reported across Gaza Strip

• Israeli forces have opened fire in several areas across the Gaza Strip, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa.
• Heavy gunfire from Israeli military vehicles was reported around ad-Dawa street, northwest of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. Artillery shelling was also reported in the area.
• In the Bureij refugee camp, also in central Gaza, gunfire and artillery shelling were reported.
• Israeli military vehicles were reported to have fired towards the Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza City.
   

President Pezeshkian says Iran will support Hamas’s position in Gaza negotiations

President Masoud Pezeshkian has said Iran will support Hamas’s position in ongoing negotiations over Gaza, local media reports say.

“Iran will support every measure, initiative and decision that Palestinian leaders take in the negotiation process,” Pezeshkian told Khalil al-Hayya, head of Hamas’s political bureau, in a phone call.

Last week, Trump said Hamas had agreed to disarm following negotiations with his Board of Peace along with Egypt, Qatar and Turkiye.

While Israel says it will not withdraw until Hamas completely disarms, the Palestinian group says it will disarm only when Israeli forces withdraw.

On Tuesday, in his first public comments on the deal, Netanyahu said Israel had not agreed to Trump’s plan.

Israeli army chief vows Gaza operations despite peace envoy’s call for halt

Israeli military chief Eyal Zamir says the army will continue what he described as “proactive” operations in Gaza, according to a statement from the Israeli military.

Zamir made the remarks during a field tour in the Gaza Strip, where he claimed Israeli forces had significantly weakened Hamas and changed the security situation.

“We have significantly weakened Hamas and changed the security reality,” Zamir said. “We will continue to act proactively in the Gaza Strip, remove threats and defend Israeli communities and residents.”

He also pledged to continue pursuing Hamas’s Nukhba fighters and others involved in the October 7 attack.

“A clear example of this is the pursuit of Nukhba fighters and everyone who took part in planning and carrying out the October 7 attack,” he said.

The remarks come days after the Board of Peace’s Gaza representative, Nikolay Mladenov, met Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss a plan to disarm Hamas and transfer the enclave to civilian governance. Mladenov also urged Israel to halt its attacks on Gaza as the board moved forward with the agreement, according to Associated Press.

Turkish Foreign Minister warns Israeli expansionism could trigger global crisis

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan says Israel has “no intention or plan for peace” and is using diplomatic platforms to advance what he described as its “illegal strategies”.

Speaking to TRT Arabic after meetings in the Jordanian capital, Amman, Fidan said: “This is not something only we see; the whole world sees it. Israel has no intention or plan regarding peace. It merely uses every platform to advance its own position and illegal strategies.”

“If regional countries and the international community do not take the necessary diplomatic measures to curb Israel’s expansionist policies, this will produce not only a regional crisis but a global one,” he added.

Fidan made the remarks after attending a ministerial meeting on Jerusalem and separate talks involving Turkey, Egypt, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on the Gaza peace plan and wider regional tensions.

Israeli forces arrest 13 in West Bank as settlers damage water pipeline

• Israeli forces detained 13 Palestinians across the occupied West Bank, including an 18-year-old summoned to Huwara military camp, a Birzeit University student in Beit Inan, and several others in Tulkarem, Qalqilya, Bethlehem, and Ramallah.
• Israeli troops stormed several towns east of Bethlehem and the Dheisheh refugee camp, briefly detaining journalist Muath Amarneh. Israeli forces also searched homes in the Far’a refugee camp near Tubas, and fired sound bombs and tear gas near homes in al-Lubban Asharqiya, south of Nablus.
• In Tubas, Israeli settlers vandalised a water pipeline supplying 12 Palestinian families in Yarza and ar-Ras al-Ahmar, while setting up makeshift arbours nearby. In Ramallah, settlers attacked a family’s vehicle in Dayr Dibwan in an attempt to seize it.
• Israeli forces issued demolition notices for three tourist structures in Arrana, east of Jenin, and demolished two classrooms and a toilet unit at a school in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron. In southern Bethlehem, Israeli bulldozers levelled farmland in Beit Zakariyyah to facilitate the expansion of the nearby Gush Etzion illegal settlement cluster.

Israeli forces raid Qalandiya camp in occupied West Bank, assault journalist

The Palestinian Wafa news agency is reporting that Israeli forces have raided the Qalandiya refugee camp, north of occupied East Jerusalem, arresting several people and “severely assaulting” a journalist.

Citing the Jerusalem Governorate, the agency said the Israeli troops “raided the headquarters of the Popular Committee in the camp, forced a number of residents out of their homes, and compelled one family to evacuate its house”.

It identified the journalist who was assaulted as Mohammad Samreen. It said the troops were accompanied by a large number of military vehicles and “demolition machinery”.

According to Wafa, Israeli forces also raided the town of al-Khader and the village of Husan in Bethlehem, ransacking homes and businesses and assaulting one person. Several young men were detained for interrogation but later released.

Raids were similarly reported in the al-Azza and Aida refugee camps, in northern Bethlehem, as well as in the towns of Dar Salah and al-Ubeidiya in the east. Wafa said two homes were demolished in Nahalin, west of Bethlehem.

Meanwhile, in the northern Jordan Valley, Israeli settlers began fencing off swaths of land in the Hammamat al-Malih area, it said.

Israeli forces assault journalists and issue demolition threats in raid on Qalandiya, occupied West Bank

Israeli forces have continued their raid on Qalandiya refugee camp, moving through the main streets, entering homes and shops, and issuing demolition threats against businesses, including a nearby car wash.

Residents say Israeli forces have also shut down businesses in areas under Jerusalem municipality boundaries, citing permit issues, disrupting livelihoods and daily life.

Journalists covering the raid say they have been targeted while reporting, with one reporter assaulted by Israeli soldiers and others facing stun grenades used to disperse them.

The purpose of the raid remains unclear, with residents questioning whether it is linked to arrests, intelligence operations or further restrictions on the camp.

The operation comes amid a surge in Israeli raids across the occupied West Bank, with Palestinians saying the number has risen to about 50 raids per day in recent weeks, intensifying fear and instability in communities.

Israeli forces shoot and wound young man north of Jerusalem

Israeli forces have opened fire and injured a young man near the al-Dahiya gate in the town of ar-Ram, north of occupied East Jerusalem, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa.

The Palestinian Red Crescent treated the individual for a live ammunition wound before transferring him to a hospital for further treatment, Wafa said.

Israel intensifies demolitions in occupied West Bank

Dozens of Palestinian homes in a West Bank village have received Israeli demolition or stop-work orders.

The Israeli authorities have been stepping up demolitions in the occupied territory.

Article 53 of the Fourth Geneva Convention forbids the destruction of real or personal property by an occupying force, except where such destruction is made absolutely necessary by direct military operations. The latter has never been supported with evidence.

International bodies note that denying basic building permits to local residents while facilitating outside colony expansion breaches the duty to administer the territory for the benefit of the protected civilian population. The latter refers to the Rules of Belligerent Occupation in the Laws Of War.

In its advisory opinions and legal reviews, the ICJ has maintained that Israel's occupation and related annexation practices, land confiscations, and systematic property demolitions in the Palestinian territories are unlawful and must be brought to an end.

Resolutions (such as UN Resolution 2334) state that actions altering the demographic composition and character of the occupied territories—including evictions and demolitions—have no legal validity.

Israeli forces intensify raids on West Bank refugee camps to displace and intimidate Palestinians

It is getting too dangerous for journalists to be inside the Qalandiya refugee camp. One journalist who was reporting on the Israeli incursion this morning was beaten up by the Israeli army that is stationed there.

This raid started approximately 11pm last night and the Israeli forces have been pushing more and more troops into the refugee camp.

They are conducting arrests, but also intimidating people, which many would tell you is the ultimate goal of these raids.

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz has said that he instructed the army to launch yet another raid on a fourth refugee camp, in addition to three refugee camps in the north of the occupied West Bank that have already been raided and surrounded by Israeli forces, who have forcibly displaced Palestinians from them.

The name of that camp was not announced. There has been some pushback from certain army officials saying they don’t have the manpower to go into those camps and occupy them. What seems to be happening here is the intimidation of Palestinians who are afraid that their camp could be next.

Israelis claim the raids are to create “better security” and confront any Palestinians who plan attacks, but in reality this is part and parcel of the Israeli escalation in the occupied West Bank, which ultimately aims to keep people scared and get them to leave their land.

International bodies and human rights organizations state that ordering military raids and forced displacement in West Bank refugee camps violates international humanitarian law. Under the Fourth Geneva Convention, an occupying power cannot forcibly move or expel protected civilian populations unless strict conditions of imperative military necessity or safety apply.

Forcing residents out of their homes without satisfying narrow legal definitions of temporary evacuation for imperative military security amounts to a grave breach of the Geneva Conventions.

Widespread wrecking of civilian housing, water, and power grids violates the duty of an occupying power to protect and respect civilian property. This refers  to the Rules of Belligerent Occupation in the Laws of War.

Operating with heavy military tactics in areas lacking active battlefield hostilities means actions are judged under strict international human rights law enforcement standards rather than loose wartime rules.

Israeli forces using refugee camp raids in West Bank to gather intelligence

These refugee camps are a reminder of the plight of Palestinians who have been forcibly displaced from their original homes in 1948. Now, they are reliving the trauma of displacement.

Tens of thousands of Palestinians have already been forcibly displaced from their homes since the beginning of 2025, and have still not been able to return to their land as Israeli forces keep expanding and extending their presence and their occupation.

Many will tell they want to change the reality; they want to change the geography of these camps to eliminate the symbolism that these camps represent.

Israeli forces have also been threatening to demolish an UNRWA facility near the Qalandiya refugee camp.

In the past few months, there have been 50 raids per day. They are becoming part of the Palestinian daily routine; Palestinians would be going to work or to school and they’d be confronted by Israeli forces who would sometimes arrest them with no charge.

These raids are a reminder of the occupation, of the power that the Israeli state has over Palestinians, but they are also a way to gather intelligence.

Israeli military probe into Tal attack reveals army fire may have killed reservist

Israel’s military has said that it’s unclear if an Israeli reservist killed in a July settler attack in the occupied West Bank was killed by Palestinian or Israeli fire.

The attack in the village of Tal on July 24 saw four Palestinians, the reservist and an Israeli soldier killed.

Israeli reports accused a Palestinian man of seizing a rifle from one Israeli, opening fire and killing him in the midst of what they later referred to as a “hike” by settlers in Palestinian neighborhoods.

Multiple Palestinian accounts disputed this version of events.

It was not immediately clear how the other Israeli died. In the days since, Israeli settlers and soldiers have escalated raids across the occupied West Bank.

The investigation noted that “it is not possible to determine unequivocally” how the second Israeli was killed and whether he was shot by Palestinian or Israeli fire.

The investigation also found that the settlers’ “hike” in the area had not been pre-approved by the Israeli army and would not have been allowed to take place if it had.

The slow manner in which Israeli forces deployed, and the uncoordinated way they secured their wounded and dead, were a “serious failure”, the investigation concluded.

Local sources reported that Israeli forces raided the home of Kifah Hamad, forcibly breaking down the door before assaulting family members, handcuffing her husband and taking her to a separate room before detaining her.

Hamad, an educational counsellor at Al-Qubaybah Girls’ Secondary School, suffers from a broken leg and wears a medical splint.

Her arrest comes amid a wider Israeli military operation in Qalandiya camp, where dozens of Palestinians have reportedly been detained and their homes searched.

Qatar PM joins Jordan’s king for meeting on occupied East Jerusalem

Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani has participated in a meeting with Jordan’s King Abdullah II in Amman, according to a post by Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on X.

The meeting brought together participants of the Arab Ministerial Committee tasked with international action to confront Israeli policies and measures in occupied East Jerusalem.

Officials discussed developments in Palestine, particularly Israeli escalation in occupied Jerusalem, and efforts to preserve the city’s Islamic and Christian identity.

They also discussed coordination among Arab countries on the issue of Jerusalem and ways to address ongoing developments in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Saudi and Egyptian FMs discuss Jerusalem and regional developments

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud has met with Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty on the sidelines of a ministerial meeting in support of Jerusalem and its holy sites, according to a post by Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry on X.

During the meeting, Prince Faisal said Jerusalem “must be a city of peace and coexistence, not an arena of conflict or the imposition of a fait accompli.”

Israel slams Arab committee’s Jerusalem declaration

Israel’s Foreign Ministry has rejected a declaration issued by the Arab Ministerial Committee on occupied Jerusalem, calling it “built on false accusations, historical distortions, and a complete disregard for the facts” in a post on X.

The statement came after Arab foreign ministers meeting in Amman condemned what they described as Israel’s escalating policies and measures in occupied Jerusalem and launched a joint diplomatic effort to respond. The committee includes Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Palestine and other Arab states, alongside the Arab League.

In response, Israel said Jerusalem is “the eternal capital of the State of Israel”, insisting it remains committed to preserving freedom of worship and the status quo at the Temple Mount, while accusing the declaration of ignoring “the Jewish people’s historic connection to Jerusalem and its holiest sites.”

The Israelis keep their "history" limited, which is not even their history as the latter is those lay in Europe.

They don't want anyone talking about the period since Jerusalem came under Muslim control for the first time in 637 or 638 CE (15–16 AH), when the Arab Muslim armies of the Rashidun Caliphate captured the city from the Byzantine Empire.

Jerusalem was under Muslim rule for roughly 12 centuries and lasted until 1917 CE, with a brief interruption of about 88 years during the Crusader period (1099–1187 CE) and a few short diplomatic shifts.

So, the Israeli falsification is both Islamophobia because of the Muslims in the Old City, Anti-Christian because of the Christians and Catholics who have been for centuries, and Anti-Semitism because Palestinians in the city are Semitic people.

Three Palestinians injured in settler attack near Nablus

Three Palestinians have been injured after Israeli settlers attacked residents in the town of Beit Furik, east of Nablus, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa.

Local sources said a group of settlers entered the eastern part of the town under the protection of Israeli forces and assaulted residents, leaving three people with bruises.
