Gaza death toll climbs as Israeli attacks surge
The number of attacks on Gaza is rising. Most of the Palestinians injured in such attacks die within hours or days because there are no medical supplies and no medication, and there’s no way hospitals can treat the wounded.
Over the past 24 hours, at least nine Palestinians have been killed by air attacks and Israeli gunfire.
Health officials said among the dead was a truck driver in an Israeli-designated “safe zone” as he drove in the southern city of Rafah.
There was an attack on a tent where an entire family was killed in the al-Mawasi area. Another Palestinian child was killed. Al-Mawasi is supposed to be a “humanitarian zone”, but Israeli attacks continue despite the “ceasefire”.

Aid group driver killed by Israel while delivering food in Gaza
A driver working for a logistics company that partners with World Central Kitchen (WCK) has been killed by the Israeli military while transporting supplies.
The driver, identified as Ahmad Nasser Saleem, was delivering food to Palestinians in need, the charity said in a statement.
“Humanitarian aid deliveries should never be a target,” WCK said.
WCK said it was in contact with the driver’s family and expressed its condolences, adding it expects a full accounting by Israel of the deadly attack.
World Central Kitchen is a US-based nonprofit that provides meals during humanitarian crises, and has been one of the main organisations delivering food in war-battered Gaza.

At least 8 Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks over the past day
Eight Palestinians were killed and 17 wounded in Israeli attacks over the past 24 hours across the Gaza Strip.
The Health Ministry said rescue and civil defence teams remained unable to reach additional victims still trapped under rubble or lying on roads.
Since the “ceasefire” took effect last October, at least 1,092 Palestinians have been killed and 3,507 wounded by Israel’s occupying military.

Gaza blood banks face imminent shutdown as supplies run out
Gaza’s laboratories and blood banks are on the verge of a complete shutdown because of a crippling shortage crucial supplies threatening to paralyze diagnostic services for patients and the wounded across the war-battered enclave.
Sahar Ghanem, a director with the Health Ministry, said shortages of lab materials have reached 87 percent while essential items needed for diagnostic tests are running at a 74 percent deficit.
Frequent breakdowns of outdated lab devices have further compounded the crisis, he said.
Ghanem appealed for urgent intervention to secure necessary supplies, warning services cannot continue under these “catastrophic” shortage levels.
The warning comes as Gaza’s healthcare system continues to be devastated after Israeli attacks and restrictions.
