WHERE THE 2026 WAR ON IRAN HAS ITS ROOT

During the last week in May 2025, Netanyahu defied Trump's opposition by ordering his military to prepare for an attack on Iran. The following month, Netanyahu attacked Tehran in line with the Menachem Begin doctrine.

On June 13, 2025, Netanyahu defended the start of his preemptive war on Iran by claiming without evidence that Tehran was accelerating its nuclear program.

Three days later, he said on Fox News, that "Iran tried to assassinate Trump twice," and on the same day at ABC News: "If the US helps Israel assassinate Iran’s Supreme Leader it will help end the conflict." The latter was said while knowing that Hezbollah would respond.

In the days after he made the last mentioned statement, the Israeli Mossad and the CIA were preparing the assassination during the whole second half of that year.

It should be noted that the CIA needs explicitly presidential approval for every covert operation. This means that even Donald Trump has the knowledge about the preparation, and may have known that Hezbollah would respond.

At the end of that year, Axios reported that Netanyahu vowed during a meeting with Trump, that he would attack Iran in 2026 again.

On February 27, 2026, Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff told Trump that Iran was going to attack. A day later, Netanyahu assassinated the Iranian Supreme Leader by bombarding the building where Khamenei was.

On March 1st, Hezbollah reacted by vowing revenge of the assassination of Khamenei, which it did by firing rockets into the north of colonized historic Palestine. Netanyahu exploited the revenge by branding it as "an attack on 'Israel.'"

In this same month, the Pentagon debunked Jared Kushner's claim by saying that Iran wasn't preparing before Netanyahu resumed his preemptive 12-day war on Iran he started on June 13, 2025.

Based on a report by the New York Times from March 2026, reading that the Israeli Mossad couldn't assassinate the Supreme Leader without the help of the CIA, the technical details, as described in that report, suggest that the American and the Israeli intelligence were monitoring Khamenei's whereabouts for months.

With the preparation and the assassination of Khamenei by the CIA under Trump's political responsibility, and the Israeli Mossad under Netanyahu's political responsibility, both Trump and Netanyahu have initiated Hezbollah's response, as both leaders have knowledge that Hezbollah would respond. They dragged the group in a war that is pure those of Netanyahu, not Trump.

But Netanyahu also dragged Trump in his war at the same time, as he have said to Trump that the Iranian regime will collapse by the war.

When Netanyahu was bombing the building where the Supreme Leader was, he also bombed the oil depots outside the capital, which prompted Iran to close the Strait of Hormuz. In response to the closure, Trump threw oil on the fire by ordering a counter blockade to all Iranian ports.

Everything that has taken place since then is nothing more than consequences stemming from what Netanyahu started on June 13, 2025.
