Badr chief urges Iraqi groups to postpone retaliatory attacks on Saudi Arabia
Hadi al-Amiri, head of the Iraqi Badr Organization, part of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), has called on the Iraqi resistance groups to postpone retaliatory operations against Saudi Arabia.
In a video carried by Iraqi media, al-Amiri called on fighters of the group to postpone any attacks in response to what he called “American-Saudi” aggression on Iraq and to overlook the wounds for the “sake of Iraq’s highest interests”.
On July 29, attacks from Saudi Arabia and the US targeted PMF headquarters in Iraq, killing more than 20 people and wounding at least 30 others.
Earlier, Reuters reported, quoting a Saudi official, that intelligence reports from the kingdom, the US and countries in the Middle East had indicated that Iraqi armed factions were coordinating with the Houthis to launch imminent attacks on the country under the supervision of the IRGC.

Iraqi PM discusses security cooperation with Saudi general intelligence chief
Iraq’s Prime Minister, Ali al-Zaidi, has discussed efforts to enhance regional security cooperation with Saudi Arabia’s general intelligence chief, Khalid bin Ali Al Humaidan, according to the Iraqi PM’s office.
Al-Zaidi reiterated Iraq’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Saudi Arabia and stressed Baghdad’s position that Iraq would not be used as a “launching pad” for activities harming any foreign state, his office statement said.
It added that both parties agreed on the need for enhanced security cooperation and information exchange.
